The solution of SYSTEM ERROR (0e01) issue at Casio qv-r40 camera

RUSSIAN VERSION

This failure often occurs when the power supply of the camera is suddenly disconnected
or when working with severely discharged batteries, sometimes for no apparent reason :(
When turned on, the camera extends the lens and immediately displays the message SYSTEM ERROR (0e01)
on a black background, then only reacts to the off button, the lens does not retract.
In this state, it is still possible to access the engineering menu.

The way to enter is as follows:
1. Press the Menu and disp buttons and hold them while turning on.

++ KX 864 ++
PR:03. 07. 08. 11. 35
LD:2.00
MI:114

2. Now quickly press the joystick ring to the right twice and press the MENU button.
That's it, we're in the menu.

I do not recommend changing lens and optics calibrations in the ADJ TEST section.

It should be noted that the camera in this state can still work correctly with the USB interface.
To restore it, we will need the following file - Casio QV-R40 firmware (1.85mb).
It should be placed in the root directory of your camera's SD card, then turn it off and on again while holding
down the MENU button.
The following message will appear on the display:

PROGRAM UPDATE
    YES
    NO
 NEW VERSION IS
  VER 1.00

Press Yes. After 20-25 seconds of flashing green and red LEDs, COMPLETED will appear.
That's it, you can turn it off, remove and reinsert the batteries.
Now we have a working camera!

It should be noted that the loader checks the battery charge level before flashing, and if it is below the set tolerance,
it simply flashes the message ver 1.00. Therefore, before the flashing procedure, they need to be fully charged.

If problems arise, you can perform FLASH INITIAL and SYSTEM INITIAL before flashing in the engineering menu,
in the ROM UPDATE section.
